Since September 2023, fee remission for both undergraduates and postgraduate students has fallen under the remit of the University's PRC Fees and Funding Sub-committee.  Applications now follow a single standardised process and are considered by the Fee Remission Panel, who meet approximately once every two months. The Panel reports to the PRC Fees and Funding Sub-committee on an annual basis.

The guidance document and application form are reviewed annually in August, and uploaded accordingly to this web page prior to the start of the following academic year.

Meeting dates for the Fee Remission Panel are given below. Applications must reach the Fee Remission Panel Secretary no later than 7 days before the meeting.

In some cases it may be more appropriate for students to apply for support with their living costs, or medical costs, rather than their tuition fees. Please refer to the Financial Assistance web pages for information on the funds that may be available to support students in these situations.
