About Examinations at Cambridge
The University of Cambridge conducts examinations year-round from September, with the majority running during the main-exam period from mid-April to mid-June following Easter. We deliver both written and digital in-person examinations, including those for students with Reasonable Adjustments, such as additional writing time and/or rest breaks. Exams are held at various locations across the University, primarily in central Cambridge, the Sidgwick Site, and the West Cambridge Site.
In the 2024- 2025 academic year we administered 3,464 exam papers and 70,349 candidatures across 44 exam venues.
Exam workers play a vital role in ensuring the seamless delivery of our examinations. We therefore welcome applications from individuals who excel in communication, have strong interpersonal skills, are detail-oriented, remain calm under pressure, and thrive in team settings.
All exam workers receive comprehensive training, a detailed information handbook, and full support from the Exam Office throughout.
